What: On Sunday, April 28th, Rowan University hosted its 2nd Annual Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. According to event organizer Lindsay Johnson, the main goal of the walk, “is to reduce the stigma of discussing suicide, to bring the issue out into the open and ‘out of the darkness’”.

Into The Light’s CEO and Co-Founder, Artemis, was the main speaker for the Out of the Darkness walk. Rowan students, faculty, and parents gathered to listen to Artemis’s story, as well as took part to rid the stigma surrounding mental illness and prevent suicide.
